She has 6 engines, two for propulsion, 3 alternatives for electricity and one engine for the bow thruster. Because she can carry 175 persons / crew she needed US Coastguard approval which was very strict. Like a military spec warship she is totally self-sufficient with her own workshop, pipe making equipment and welding equipment onboard. Impact is mitigated by four close-able water tight bulkheads and a strengthened, sealed front collision bulkhead with automated bilge pump-out system and early warning alarms make her extremely safe at sea. She also had to be fitted with twin back up systems of everything. Eg two steering pumps, two radars, two air compressors to control and start her engines (although technically it's three, as a smarter more eco friendly 3rd air compressor was fitted). She has two generators (again now 3 with the eco one) plus two engines for propulsion which are not mounted in the traditional position (midships) but instead the full head height engine room and generator room are situated on the lower deck right at the stern with drive to the twin propellers transmitted through a z-drive belt system which allows for low noise during cruising and restriction free impressive lower deck floor space where seven double cabins are situated with an eight cabin situated on the top deck where the air conditioning room used to be housed in the wheelhouse. This provides sleeping for a total of 16 people in 8 cabins.

The owners are proud to present her as albeit a little glitzy, another new Bristol landmark in this great city they call home.
